Join Isobelle Carmody and Joanne Anderton as we reflect on the FESTIVAL OF THE FANTASTIC IN AUSTRALIAN AND JAPANESE ARTS

REFLECTIONS

ISOBELLE CARMODY and JOANNE ANDERTON on Writing the Foreign and the Fantastic

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 29
5-7pm AEST (6-8pm AEDT, 4-6pm JST)
The University of Queensland

Australian authors fantastic Isobelle Carmody and Joanne Anderton create fantasy, speculative fiction, science fiction, horror, non-fiction, and more. It is no coincidence that these prolific and imaginative authors are themselves avid consumers of stories in a huge range of genres and media. Both have spent significant periods of time travelling and living outside of Australia. In this session the authors will discuss how the worlds they create reflect their time spent travelling in different lands, both imaginary and real.
